Cultural Programme by 10th Class
Students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School
21st September 2006
On the evening of 21st September
2006, the students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary presented a play
entitled, “Love is God, Live in Love”. The play though short had a
pregnant message to convey to the audience: “Start the day with love;
Spend the day with love; Fill the day with love; End the day with
love; That is the way to God.”
Bhagawan came to Sai Kulwant Hall at
3.50 p.m. and went a full round of the Hall in the car. After
alighting from the car, Bhagawan went into the Bhajan Hall of the
Mandir to see the actors who were getting ready for the play. As
Bhagawan came out of the Bhajan Hall and went to the dais, all the
actors trooped out to the performing area to begin their performance.
After presenting a card of the day’s programme to Bhagawan, the
students offered their salutations and welcomed Bhagawan through a
beautiful synchronised dance with deft movements.
The play started on a sublime note
that whatever the Avatar says is a Mantra. “Start the day with love;
Spend the day with love; Fill the day with love; End the day with
love; That is the way to God.” A conversation ensues between two
persons – one who leads an idealistic life and another who leads a
materialistic life. The materialistic person starts the day with a cup
of coffee, then spends the day in watching television, in the evening
he plays cricket with his mates and goes to bed in the night without
even a spark of spirituality in his life. On the other hand, the
idealistic person when he gets up in the morning thanks God for the
sylvan surroundings with its verdant beauty. He spends the day
religiously.
Another scene portrays Ramesh
Sahani, a person of integrity and character and Rishikesh, who poisons
the ears of his boss and wins his heart. As a result, he is favoured
for a training stint to Japan. The boss asks Ramesh to do something
for the company against his ethics, but Ramesh refuses. The boss
threatens that his job would be at stake. But Ramesh is unruffled.
After a week, the boss realises his mistake and calls Ramesh to his
chamber and is curious to know as to how Ramesh stood to his stand
even in such a situation. Ramesh humbly tells his boss that he is
wedded to ideals and never trespasses it. Pleased with his integrity,
the boss recommends his name to the board of directors for the post of
deputy director of the company. There is no fear in the presence of
love was the noteworthy declaration to the congregation assembled in
the Hall.
At the end of the play, all the
actors converged in front of Bhagawan to get His love and blessings
with a song: “We love You Sai, we love You Baba, much more than words
can say. Make every moment eternal, we don’t ask for more. Start the
day with love; Spend the day with love; Fill the day with love; End
the day with love; That is the way to God.” Bhagawan showered His love
on all those concerned with the play by being amidst them, posed for
photographs and spoke with many of them endearingly. Before Arati,
Bhagawan asked the students to sing the final song again. Then
Prasadam was distributed to the students and Bhagawan retired for the
day.
