Carnatic Concert and Dance Ballet |
The second day of the Hyderabad youth Parthi yatra witnessed a classical carnatic vocal concert by Dr. Panthula Rama, popular as ‘Nightingale of Andhra’, accompanied by Sri M.S.N. Murthy on Violin and Sri Nemani Somayajulu on Mridangam. Starting her concert with Siva Siva Siva Enaraya and Bhaja Re Manasa, she went on sing many popular numbers including Navaneetha Chora Devaki Vasudeva Nandana and Leela Nataka Sai.
The concert was followed by a Dance Ballet by students of Balvikas from Bhagyanagar Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Hyderabad. The Children presented many sequences from ‘Shivananda Lahari’ including the union of Shiva and Parvathi, the drinking of the poison haalahalam, the binding of the Ganges and the birth of Vinayaka.
Earlier in the day the third National Convention of Sathya Sai Schools ended in a high note. Speaking on the occasion, Sri V.Srininvasan, All India President of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, emphasised that “the journey towards Excellence is like the journey to Sai. It never ends! Every forward step is itself a milestone. The travelers and the pilgrims may change but the journey goes on. What is sure is that Sai is always with us, holding our hands, soothing our tired limbs, guiding us forward. The journey itself is the joy of the destination.”

Programme by Hyderabad |
Over 1200 Youth from Hyderabad presented a cultural bouquet in
Sai Kulwant Hall this evening. The programme started with an hour of
devotional singing entitled “Sri Sathya Sai Naadha Neerajanam” by
the Sivam Bhajan Group.
This was followed by a dance presentation by students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar – Hyderabad representing the various Indian Folk Dances. This included the Chekka Bhajana of Andhra Pradesh, the Garbha of Gujarat, Kalbelia of Rajasthan, Cheraw Dance of Mizoram and an integrated Peacock dance.
Earlier in the day the group of Sivam sang Bhajans in the morning session and attended a workshop on Sai Seva Projects and participated in a Satsang. They concluded the day with a Pallaki Seva from the Old Mandir of Bhagawan at 1930hrs.
The third National Convention of Sathya Sai Schools held their first days proceedings today on the theme “The Way Forward to Excellence”. Principals and senior members of Sri Sathya Schools from across India participated in the proceedings.
