HIS CELEBRATION OF JADHAV’S LOVE…
Writing for ChemburDust, reflecting on Bhagawan’s boundless love showered on Hadshi, Mr. Chandrasekhar writes that initially it was a wrong notion that they mistook the happenings to be Jadhav's celebration of Baba's visit. After few rounds, they discovered the truth that it was His celebration of Jadhav’s Love…Read on for yet another reflection of Bhagawan's Pune Sojourn...

These are harvest days in Mumbai's Spiritual Cultivation. After spectacular Darshan and Bhaashan in Hadshi, that has shot to fame overnight, Baba moved to Mumbai.

It was as though a 'Soul-Service-Centre' was set up by the Gods at Hadshi, en route heaven in our long arduous journey over several births...

We, with ignorance as our only real possession, moved around intercepting a few, for sharing their experience in Gods Own mini Kingdom-Hadshi Some conservative village women with pots on their heads hurried to join the traditional welcome to Baba... Villagers from Pandurang Seva Mandali Dongargaon nearby, said that they were excited over the prospect of having Darshan of Baba for the first time. The group conducts Bhajan in their Gaon everyday..

Little kids dressed up in traditional Marathi attire trouped up from Village Chalegaon and their enthusiasm was boundless... A huge band of villagers from Sholapur Dist marched about in all directions looking for vantage points for Darshan.

In the middle, we spotted a Sikh student. He has been learning Vedas for last one year and is a student of Gurunanak College, Pune. He recounted his first meeting with Baba when he got a chance to offer a Rose flower to Him during last Aashadi. He was thrilled to get a chance
to chant Veda before Swami this time. Oh! Vedas are beyond Religious slants. We learn and move on.

The otherwise incongruent city folks whose 'adopted mother tongue' is English(!), merged with the inarticulate villagers and created a great amalgam of Bhakti while divinity played the Catalyst !

A power-driven Hang glider played Eagle, up above in the sky making several rounds and showering flowers over audience once.

And many such snapshots enthralled us, as we looked around.

Initially we mistook it to be Jadhavs celebration of Swami's visit. After few rounds, we discovered the truth.

It’s Swami's celebration of Jadhav’s love. If a humble devotee pours Love on the Lord with pure heart in all humility, the Lord would come running to him and celebrate it in unparalleled Celestial Grandeur.

Yes! It was a Cosmic Event of Sorts. Only our Cameras did not have a feature to capture the Devas up above, blissfully watching.

As though to corroborate our views, Baba hinted in His divine discourse about Sakkubai's love for God despite all hardships and how her Bhakti was rewarded by God Himself assuming her form and doing household chores.

After this enlightening speech, we were moved to tears and looked around for Jadhav, to thank him for this spectacular show and all arrangements par excellence.

But we couldn't locate him as he must have been busy tying up a loose end in some obscure corner with his trademark humility, by now elevated to a form of Art.

We the city folks, who are trained to jargonise, raise decibel level, harvest eyeballs, increase footfall and maximise mileage as though suffering from full blown Attention Deficiency Syn.., should learn a thing or two from Jadhav brothers' package deal with God - "Low key; Humble. Pure Bhakti; Low decibel; Feet-on-Street".

It is impossible for God not to come. He has to rush and celebrate this Pure Love in tons.
And He did.

Yes. Hadshi was His celebration of Jadhav's Love!

Power Inc takes a breather, gets down to spiritual biz

(abridged version)

MUMBAI: Temporal and spiritual power intermingled in Mumbai on Sunday as devotees — both the humble and the great and the good — of the spiritual leader Shri Sathya Sai Baba lined up to receive his blessings.

Big chiefs of the financial sector and India Inc turned out in large numbers to seek the Baba’s blessings. The morning prayer in the Mumbai suburb of Andheri was attended by an eclectic collection of dignitaries. These included ICICI Bank chairman, KV Kamath, the chairman and MD of the Union Bank of India, MV Nair, Kotak Bank’s vice-chairman and MD Uday Kotak, Gunit Chadha, the head of Deutsche Bank’s India operations, PMS Prasad, a director on the board of Reliance Industries (RIL), India’s largest private sector company, and Meera Sanyal, a banker and an independent candidate from the South Mumbai parliamentary constituency.

At a prayer meeting on Sunday, Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan, BJP leader Gopinath Munde and many other dignitaries sought the Swami’s blessings at a darshan organised in Mahakali Caves, Andheri.

Chief minister Ashok Chavan prayed for his new administration. “The government needs the Swamiji’s touch and his blessings. We hope to run the government according to his principles,” Mr Chavan said on Sunday morning.

The CM wasn’t the only dignitary queuing up for a sprinkling of the spiritual stardust. A clutch of serving and former judges, including former Supreme Court judge BM Srikrishna (of the Srikrishna Commission fame) and a number of prominent lawyers and doctors were also present.

Mr Kamath, who spoke on the occasion, referred to the insights thrown up in the course of a two-day conference on the ‘Ethics and the world of finance’ held in August 2009 at the Sathya Sai Baba University at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh. That conference was attended by two RBI governors, the incumbent Duvvuri Subbarao and his predecessor YV Reddy. Besides the assorted dignitaries, thousands lined up for a darshan, first at Andheri and later at Worli.

Later in the day, the chief minister and his family hosted the Sathya Sai Baba at Varsha, the Maharashtra CM’s residence in Mumbai’s Malabar Hill.

Both Mr Chavan and Mr Kamath praised the selflessness of the volunteers, many from affluent backgrounds, working at various hospitals and educational institutions run by the Sathya Sai Seva Organisation.

Shri Sathya Sai Baba is on five-day visit to Maharashtra. The Sathya Sai Seva Organisation runs a number of schools and four hospitals. The organisation was recently in the forefront of relief work for cyclone victims in Orissa and flood victims in West Bengal.
The Newspaper's frontpage with a photo caption "Banking on the Divine" For a Better Tomorrow...reports that "...with the economy and the market coming out of the woods, India Inc's top guns, political leaders and the aam admi sought the Baba's healing touch"
