Sai Anandam, a Musical Presentation from UK Thursday, October 11th, 2012

Bhagawan Who loves music, Who is verily Nada Brahmam Himself, was treated with a scintillating musical feast this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. As a part of the national initiative by the UK Sathya Sai Organisations, inspiring devotees to focus on Bhagawan’s ideals and teachings, a group of 46 devotees are currently in Prasanthi Nilayam on a national pilgrimage from 7 October till 27 October. Offering gratitude and love for Bhagawan, the group, Sai Jyothi, offered a classical musical presentation entitled ‘Sai Anandam’, comprising of Bhajans and Instrumental music, this evening in Sai Kulwant Hall. Beginning with an invocation in Raag Yaman Kalyan offering salutations, the programme continued with some of the popular Prasanthi bhajans before reaching a crescendo with stimulating instrumental jugalbandhi, signifying the ascension of man to higher realms of spirituality.
Sai Anandam had Roopa Panesar on Sitar, Kirpal Singh Panesar on Tar Shehnai, Kaviraj Singh Dhadyalla on Santoor and Vocal and Gurdain Singh Rayatt on Tabla.
At the end of the one-hour presentation, the group was given a rousing round of applause by the evening assembly of devotees. As bhajans continued, the artistes were felicitated and Prasadam was distributed for the entire assembly. Bhajans ended with the Thursday Special “Madhura Madhura Ghana Muraleedhara Shyama…” in Bhagawan’s own voice. Mangala Arathi was offered at 1815 hrs. Continuing with their presentation the Sai Jyothi group would be presenting a medley of English bhajans tomorrow evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in the omnipresent Divine Presence of Beloved Bhagawan. UK Offers Medley Of Sai Devotionals… Friday, October 12th, 2012 | ||||||||
Continuing from yesterday’s musical bouquet “Sai Anandam” the visiting UK group “Sai Jyothi” presented yet another scintillating musical offering, a medley of devotional songs, this evening at the Sanctum Sanctorum in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Beginning with an instrumental playing to the tune of “Vande Uma Nandanam” invoking Lord Ganesha, the presentation progressed into a Hindi solo by Kaviraj Singh Dhadyalla followed by a medley of devotionals in English. Some of the numbers were “Why Fear When I Am Here…So Says Baba Sathya Sai Baba…”, Every Moment Of My Life Be With Me…Baba O Sai Baba…” winding up with “Sathyam Jnaanam Anantham Brahma”. The hour-long soul-stirring musical treat was well received with every song ending with rapturous applause from the assembly.
Earlier, the evening session began with Veda chanting by Pundits from Sri Sadguru Veda Patashala, Bangalore. Led by Dr Srinivasas Murthy, the group chanted a complete session of 45 minutes. Heart Valve Bank, UK Offers Musical Salutations…Wednesday, October 17th, 2012

Devotees from the UK, belonging to the Heart Valve Bank, offered a special Musical Offering this evening here in Prasanthi Nilayam. Roopa Panesar, one of the leading names in the Indian Musical scene in the UK, who had her stints in the Divine Presence over the last week, showed up once again with her soulful and unique style of playing Sitar enthralling the festive assembly of devotees for over 45 minutes. Beginning with a solo, the accomplished artiste continued the show with some of the famous ‘Prasanthi’ tunes, Hara Shiva Shankara Sambha Sadaa Shiva…, Shankara Shiva Shankara…, Bolo Bolo Sab Mil Bolo Aum Nama Shivaya.. etc., ending up inciting the audience to a rapturous applause in appreciation. After the Sitar offering, Youth from the UK continued with a medley of fast bhajans, singing with devotional exhuberance. Bhajans by students continued and the session concluded at 1815 hrs. with Managala Arathi.
At the end of the presentation, the artiste along with accompanists and other youth were felicitated and Prasadam was distributed to the entire assembly of devotees.
Heart Valve Bank is the result of direct Divine inspiration from Bhagawan, responding to His call for Medicare in society, serving humanity. The Bank aims to save lives by bringing free health care to the poor without any discrimination of caste, colour or creed following Bhagawan’s ideals.
Dasara Jnana Saptaha Yajna, seven day ritual coinciding the Dasara festivity, will commence tomorrow in the Poornachandra Auditorium to culminate with Poornahuthi on Vijayadashami day, 24 October. During the week, there will be special evening sessions of Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha, involving speeches and cultural programmes. Today, on the second day of Sri Sathya Sai Grama Seva 2012, the following villages of the Bukkapatnam mandal were served: Tharaguvandlapalli, Dhupampalli, Kottalapalli, Buchaiahgaripalli, Kadapanagepalli, Nallaguttapalli, Chinnaboyanipalli, Chendrayanipalli, Kasaba Tanda, Siddarampuram, Lingappagaripalli, Gunipalli, Rasimpalli, Rasimpalli Tanda, Bitriguntapalli, Kothkota, Yarlampalli and Agraharam.
