South East Asian Country of Thailand is popularly known
as ‘Sailand’ in Sai parlance and Sathya Sai School in Thailand is always
in the good news for the impactful value-based Sathya Sai Education
being imparted to the blossoming future generations. Offering
the final presentation of the week-long ‘BirthDay’ celebrations this
evening, students from Sathya Sai School, Thailand, along with SSE
children (Thailand) presented a drama entitled, ‘If
There Was Little More Love’in
His immediate Divine OmniPresence in Prasanthi Nilayam.
Portraying a family with a cynical mother-in-law and her
daughter-in-law at the receiving end, the presentation flows on touching
upon Bhagawan’s finer teachings on love, driving home the bottom-line
message of Love, that Love is the panacea for all ailments.
The irritant mother-in-law Mrs Shau was always at
loggerheads with her daughter-in-law Ms Lilly, who grew in frustration
day by day, until a day she made up her mind to poison her
mother-in-law. Dr Huang, the loving uncle at home, dissuaded her from
doing the ‘suicidal’ act, advising her in turn to do ‘slow poisoning’
that would take more time, but needed more patience and love. With the
‘slow poisoning’ on, the mother-in-law gradually started showing signs
of improvement, becoming softer and loving towards Lilly.
Bemused at the change in character, Lilly called up Dr
Huang, explaining the situation. With just a day left for the
mother-in-law to die of ‘slow poisoning’, as she was given to believe,
now Lilly wanted her uncle to come up with a new prescription to negate
the ‘slow poisoning’ that had been on. Here, the medico uncle lovingly
explained the girl the tactics employed, that he was in fact treating
her mother-on-law for her ailment, helping her to come out of her
‘poisoned’ mind, mixing his medicine with Lilly’s tonic of love.
As has always been Bhagawan’s final word, Love is the
most potent medicine for anything and everything, resounded the
presentation signing off in style singing a resounding qawwalil, ‘Nishani
Tho Chhod Jaa… Dilon Pe Nishani Tho Chhod Jaa…’.
A round of applause awaited the beautiful children, for
their fine portrayal of the truth of Love.
Bhajans continued and Mangala
Arathi to Bhagawan marked the glorious finale
of the week-long 94th ‘BirthDay’
celebrations.

LIVE FROM PRASANTHI NILAYAM:
Talks by devotees from Sri Sathya Sai International
Organisation - 24 Nov 2019
Bhagawan’s 94th ‘BirthDay’ festivity is into its final
day today here, in Prasanthi Nilayam. The session this morning featured
a talk by an SSIO official that was followed by an instrumental concert
by an alumnus of SSSIHL.Commencing
the proceedings Dr Jack Feely from the SSIO introduced the speaker, Dr.
Phil Gosselin, a veteran devotee, currently a Zonal Chair with SSIO.
Into his 50th year of introduction to Bhagawan, the
speaker, in a lucid flow of expression sprinkling wit and humour,
narrated the story of his first ever visit to Prasanthi Nilayam and
later, how, gradually Bhagawan graduated him to service and sadhana and
thus into expansion of his heart. Recouting some of the finest memories
with Bhagawan over the years, especially those from the initials phase
into His fold, touching upon the multi-faceted nature of Sai, the
speaker in short details explained the preparations for the upcoming
2020 WC coinciding the 95th ‘BirthDay’ celebrations.
An instrumental Veena session followed next, offered by
Dr Dhujati Mudigonda, an alumnus of SSSIHL during 1982-89. Dr Dhurjati
during his stay in Prasanthi Nilayam had the rare blessing of playing
Veena during Bhagawan’s darshan rounds. Privileged to learn the nuances
of the art and later finer aspects from Bhagawan directly, Dhurjati’s
‘morning ragas’ turned out to be an offering of gratitude to His Master
Supreme. It was a heart-wrenchingly nostalgic session with the artist
playing his ‘finger chords’ with élan, streaming through a medley of
Prasanthi Mandir Bhajans on his blessed Veena. Two of the faculties from
Dept of Music, SSSIHL, Sai Ram S and Sai Dutta accompanied the artist on
Tabala and Mridangam respectively. Dr Dhurjati is a scientist, currently
settled in the US.
Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala
Arathi to Bhagawan.
