Republic Offering…
November 20, 2012
A traditional Thai dance by the students of Sathya Sai School,
Thailand, a colourful dance drama by the Balvikas children from Bali
and a bouquet of devotionals from the devotees of the Dominican
Republic featured highlight of the third evening of the ongoing 87th
Birthday Celebrations here in Prasanthi Nilayam today.
Video from today!
The first programme for the evening was a traditional Thai Dance
“Chern Phra Kwan”, belonging to the Central plains of Thailand. The
dance symbolises invoking Goddess Kwan, indwelling spirit in every
living being, to free the being from the trap of evil to help to
become good humans.
Presenting a thematic, colourful dance drama entitled “A Grain Of
Rice” Balvikas children from Bali, Indonesia brought to live the
essential message of ‘Annam Brahma’ airing the supreme significance
of being grateful for everything in life.
Portraying the story of transformation of a student Puttu Aditya,
the presentation echoed Bhagawan’s ‘voice’ that, by wasting food one
is wasting His grace, as everything in nature in His grace. The
presentation was entwined with beautiful dance and song sequences.
The final presentation was a bouquet of devotional songs from
devotees of Dominican Republic from the Carribean Island. Engrossed
within, bliss writ large in their faces, these graceful group of
women sang their hearts out calling His varied names, producing 9
gems at His Lotus Feet.
Bhajan by students continued and ended with Bhagawan singing
“Sathyam Jnaanam Anantham Brahma…” All the groups were felicitated
and prasadam was distributed to the capacity audience before Mangala
Arathi offering at 1840 hrs.
Tomorrow, on the 4th day of the 87th Birthday Celebrations,
renowned Cello exponent Subhendra Rao and Saskia Rao would be
presenting a Sitar – Cello concert entitled ‘East Marries West’ in
the immediate Divine Presence.
