Russia’s
matchless devotional display…
|

Russia’s matchless devotion and
discipline were once again on display! Russian devotion that often
won rave ‘Divine’ reviews was on exhibition in Prasanthi when a
group of around 100 Russian speaking devotees, both men and women,
assembled in Sai Kulwant Hall offering an evening of Russian Choir
of folk songs, marking the end of the week-long Guru Purnima
celebrations, here in Prasanthi Nilayam today.
Men and women in distinct colourful dress codes, men wearing white caps and women multicoloured flower bands, sang for forty minutes singing Russian hearts out presenting nine musical gems of devotion. Conducted by Ms Marina, the songs in Russian and allied languages were quite meaningful, and their English equivalents are… “People in Russia awakened…” “Swami guide us a real way…”, “Boundless beauty of the Russian land”, “Sai’s Divine Love will save the world…”, “No one can live without love…”, “Swami’s Grace will fill us with joy…”, “Swami is our guiding light…”, “Infinite field of the Russian soul…” and “Spring blossomed in the garden of my soul…”.
The nine songs were followed by some Prasanthi Bhajans by the Russians, sung melodiously with great flair. The bhajans were: Guru Baba Guru Baba…, Mana Mohana Sri Nandalal…, Shankara Shiva Shankara Shiva Shankara Shambho….
This evening’s offering was by Region 8 of Sri Sathya Sai Organisations – Worldwide, comprising of Russian and adjoining countries.
Bhajans continued and ended with Bhagawan singing “Sathyam Jnanan Anantham Brahma…” Mangala Arthi at 1800 hrs. marked the end of the proceedings. II Samastha Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu II |
